Greetings! I'll be sending out the weekly mailing of past meeting, future meetings and current events through this screen name so everyone can have the luxury of replying instead of searching for E-scroll addresses. If anyone has questions on anything, please feel to write me! Also, sorry about the lateness of these mailings but we decided to postpone them til after officers were elected.
Past Meetings:
5/19/99, 5/26/99, 6/2/99 Were general gatherings of the EC

~Topics discussed included our upcoming sleepover, storytelling contest in June, and other house issues. We compiled Rules and Guidelines for the contest and they should be posted soon on Viria's House Website. The tentative date for this event is June 27th at 2pm elven.
Future Meetings and Events:
Saturday 6/5 at 7pm are Sovyn pre-induction meetings
Saturday 6/5 at 10pm is our House Meeting. Topics to be discussed include our necessity for new meeting schedules. Come tell us what time is best for you. Our house charter and bylaws in regards to missing or lenient officers. Our initiation process, the addition of classes and a definate set of interview questions to be used. Also, the status of our house enchanter. Please come support the house and share your ideas.
Saturday 6/5 at 11pm or following the meeting is our first House Sleepover! Grab a pillow, blanket, and that snuggly toy no one knows about to tell stories, gossip and stuff our faces with popcorn and cookies!
Sunday 6/5 at 8pm are House Inductions for new members.
Wednesday 6/9 will be a general gathering of the EC starting at 7pm elven.

June Ninth:
Future Meetings and Events:
~Wednesday June 16th at 7pm elven is a general gathering of the EC
~Thursday June 17th at 10pm elven is a House Meeting (tentative)
~Saturday June 19th at 8pm elven is a pre-induction meeting
~Sunday June 20th at 8pm elven is an induction meeting
~Sunday June 17th at 2pm elven is our Storytelling contest (tentative)
Past Meetings and Events:
~Saturday June 5th was our House Meeting
~Our meeting schedules were discussed and we decided to hold House Meetings every other week. The first weekend of every month will have a House Meeting. The day will fluctuate between Saturday,Sunday and Monday. The second meeting of every month will be held the third week and will fluctuate between Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Entertainment Committee meetings will still be held every Wednesday at 7pm.
~Our House Charter and Bylaws were discussed but not in detail. The specific changes will be discussed at the next meeting.
~The initiation process was discussed. We decided to have a definate set of interview questions for new members and those should be written up within a few days. We also made pre-induction meetings a definate requirement for all new inductees and made them include tours, suggested etiquette guidelines as well as charter revision and the usual.
~We discussed our house enchanter and the idea was brought up to have two. One for lower enchants and one for higher enchants. Once an enchanter IS in place, we decided to offer more enchants each month to the members so that our mana pool is properly utilized. If you know of an elder wizard who can do up to 8x without fail who might be interested in the position, please let me know.
~We are in need of a House Site! Lady Nigellah's absence left our members quite uninformed and we have decided to sponser a contest for a new one. The rules are as follows:
1. The contest will run for approximately 1 month.
2. The contestants will be viewed and judged by all sovyn members.
3. The site MUST be constructed either by a person who is willing to maintain updates on the site weekly OR it must be constructed using a program that will allow officers to update it. (ie geocities, etc)
4. The site must include the house charter and bylaws, enchanting prices, induction information (info can be found on current pages).
5. Updated meeting times, past events, future events, etc. are all an extra but appreciated.
6. We would ask that the sites be constructed WITHOUT frames, as it interferes with viewing by many of the members. The site should be informative as well as personal.

8. Please send your name, training and House web address to me when you feel it is completed. Prizes will be debated near the end of the contest.
~Wednesday June 9th was a general gathering of the EC
~We discussed the upcoming Storytelling contest. It is tentatively planned for June 27th (Sunday) at 2pm elven. The rules are as follows:
1. There is a 5 minute maximum time limit
2. The stories will NOT be otherworldly and should be age appropriate using your best judgement
3. There will be two catagories: Humorous and serious tales. Not both.
4. There will be semi-finals held this year. You retell the same story so that we can make sure it meets all the requirements.
5. You can tell the story using poetry, prose, singing, reciting, telling, etc.
